The Fixer

Only the broken could fix the broken,
For only they know where the missing pieces fell.

She gave her vision to the little homelese girl—
Without a dream to fly,
And through her eyes,
The girl could now see possibilities,
That stretched across the sky.

And a boy, who never knew happiness;
She entrusted him with her smile.
And through his mouth, he spoke of love and joy,
To the ends of the Earth for miles and miles.

She knew if she broke pieces of herself
And gave them all away,
That one day she could finally disappear,
Completely whole, with no reason to stay.
